Bob Marley has influenced the world in many ways. His music inspired many people. He opened many peoples eyes. Bob Marley spoke through his music, helping some people realize to live life and that every little thing is going to be alright. Bob Marley was born on February 6th, 5, in St. Anns Parish, Jamaica. His full name is Robert Nesta Marley. His birth took place on his grandfathers farm Omeriah Malcolm, father of his mother, Cedella Malcolm. He is the only child of Cedella Malcolm and Norval Sinclair Marley.
When Bob Marley was six, he left to live with his father in Kingston Jamaica. A year later, Cedella Marley found out that Bob Marley was not living with his father, but with an elderly couple. She went to Kingston, Found her son, and took him back to St. Anns. There they continued working and living their life as Mother and Son.
In 1955, Bob Marleys father, Norval Marley, passed away. That same year, his mother moved to Kingston to earn a better living and left him with his grandfather in St. Anns. A year later, he moved from his grandfathers farm to live with his aunt. Bob Marleys aunt tended goats.
Bob Marley moved to Kingston after living with his aunt for one year. He reunited with his mother there and lived in Trench Town with her. After two years of living in Trench Town, he dropped out of school at the age of 14. He played soccer with his friends and slowly began to pick up his music talent.
In 1965, The Wailing Wailers broke apart and Bob Marley met Rita Anderson. Bob Marley and Rita Anderson had three children, although Bob Marley had many other children outside of Him and Ritas relationship. Months later, Bob Marley moved to Wilmington, Delaware. He worked in many jobs to build a Jamaica-based record company. While in Wilmington, he lived with his mother, who had recently moved there.
Bob Marley and the Wailers got back together. The members of The Wailers were Bob Marley, Neville (Bunny) Wailer, Peter Tosh, and the Barrett Brothers (Aston and Carlton.) For many more years, they had success in their recordings. In 1974, the band broke apart again. Bob Marley continued to use the Wailers for the rest of his life.
Bob Marley was a devoted Rastafarian. He inspired many people, making them believe that life is too short to live it with hatred and racism. He is much known for smoking the famous plant, weed. Some people grasped that example and smoke it too . Bob Marley passed away on May 11th, 1981. His death was a very sad thing in Jamaica. His corpse was taken to his birthplace, Saint Anns, Jamaica.
