When I see a working student, I admire them right away because you feel the energy they have. In the Philippines, the ten students who graduated in high school that is common to them, only four of them are able to study in college. Others were forced to stop schooling because of extreme poverty. They need to work early to help their family. Others, have different approach in life, they are syncing their study and work. We must accept the fact that the world becomes really difficult for us. But why do many students working at the time now? Even at public schools, privates, they are everywhere.
There are two reasons to that, first is the poverty that they cannot support their parents so they do not expect other but themselves. Others just want them to work while studying because they want the experience and when they completed the study, it is not difficult for them to look for a job and most of them want to be independent. It is difficult to be a student. You must have sufficient knowledge, if not it is hard for you to finish your studies. Here are the steps on how to balance your studies and work, so you can easily done the things you want to do. 1. Do not Create Impossible situations. 2. Define priorities.
3. Avoid distractions and lack of focus. 4. Be responsible. 5. Always think positives. So many other ways but I think that the basic ones you can do to make your life facilitate and easier. As student, there are also my friends who are working students. Most of them, they do not cope with false arranging their schedule. There are also others who once tried to work and earn money, they become satisfied, and they have neglected the study. It should not exist. Thats why you are working because you want to finish your studies. Always remember, you have a greater the opportunity if you are college graduate.
Working while enrolled You can help pay for your education by working part-time while youre enrolled. International students have the right to work while studying in France as long as they are enrolled in an institution that participates in the national student health-care plan. Students who are not nationals of EU member countries must also hold a valid residency permit. The right to work applies to all students, including those who are in France for the first time, those who are enrolled in the first year of a university program, and those who are enrolled full-time in a language school.
The law allows students to work 964 hours in a given year, which corresponds to 60% of full-time employment for the year. Remember that you cant expect to meet all of your expenses by working part-time, so you must have other means of support. France has a national minimum hourly wage, known as the SMIC. The SMIC presently stands at € 9 gross per hour worked, before mandatory withholding for social benefits. Withholding reduces the workers net wage by about 20%. You are no longer required to obtain temporary employment authorization (APT, Authorization Proviso ire de Travail) in order to work part-time while enrolled.
(Exception: Algerian students are still covered by the Franco-Algerian agreement of December 27, 1968. ) Working at a university International students are also eligible for student jobs at universities and other public institutions of higher education. Students are hired to provide the following services: assisting incoming students; helping disabled students; providing tutoring; providing IT support and assistance; coordinating and staffing cultural, athletic, and social events; working in the career center; and supporting their institutions promotional efforts.
Student employment contracts are offered for a period not to exceed 12 months. They run from September 1 through August 31. Students may work up to 670 hours between September 1 and June 30, and up to 300 hours between July 1 and August 31. Student employees follow a work schedule that will not interfere with their studies. You can call the company and ask permission to be excused from work.
